Our Pet Taxi service may be used for transportation to and from:
- Veterinary appointments
- Emergency veterinary hospitals

- Relocation or transfer between approved locations

🚗 ONE-WAY PET TAXI
$40 Per Trip
Includes transportation for one pet and up to 10 miles of total service travel.
This service is ideal when your pet only needs transportation in one direction.
Examples:

- Home → groomer
- Daycare → home
- Home → boarding facility
🔄 ROUND-TRIP PET TAXI
$70 Per Trip
Includes pickup, transportation to the destination, and return transportation within the same service reservation.
Includes up to 10 miles of total service travel.
Examples:
- Home → veterinarian → home
- Home → groomer → home
- Home → daycare → home
- Home → rehabilitation appointment → home
Appointment wait time is billed separately when a caregiver must remain at the destination.
📍 ADDITIONAL MILEAGE
$1.25 Per Mile After the First 10 Miles
The first 10 miles are included in your Pet Taxi base fare.
Any mileage beyond the included distance is billed at:
$1.25 per additional mile
Mileage is calculated using the complete transportation route required to provide the service, not solely the distance between pickup and destination.
This allows us to account for the actual travel involved in safely completing your pet’s transportation.
⏱️ APPOINTMENT WAIT TIME
$15 Per 15 Minutes
If your caregiver is required to remain at the destination while your pet attends an appointment, wait time is billed in 15-minute increments.
Examples:
- Waiting during a veterinary appointment
- Remaining on-site during a grooming service
- Waiting during rehabilitation or therapy
- Remaining with your pet during diagnostic testing
- Waiting for discharge instructions or medication
Wait-Time Rate:
15 minutes — $15
30 minutes — $30
45 minutes — $45
60 minutes — $60
Wait time begins once the caregiver arrives at the destination and transportation is no longer actively occurring.
🐕 ADDITIONAL PETS
+$5 Per Additional Pet
Standard Pet Taxi pricing includes transportation for one pet.
Additional pets traveling within the same household and trip may be added for:
+$5 per additional pet
Additional charges may apply when multiple pets require separate carriers, complex loading, specialized handling, or substantially increased transport support.
🚨 URGENT & AFTER-HOURS TRANSPORTATION
+$25
A $25 urgent transportation fee may apply when Pet Taxi service is requested:
- With less than 24 hours’ notice
- Outside normal service hours
- For urgent veterinary transportation
- When an existing schedule must be significantly rearranged
- When immediate caregiver dispatch is requested
Emergency transportation is always subject to caregiver availability.
PAWsome Companions is not an emergency veterinary ambulance service.
If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, clients should contact the nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately.

+$15 Per Transportation Service
Pet Taxi services requested on designated major holidays are subject to a holiday surcharge.
Holiday transportation availability is limited and advance scheduling is strongly recommended whenever possible.
🛣️ LONG-DISTANCE PET TRANSPORTATION
Trips Over 50 Miles — Custom Quote
Transportation exceeding 50 miles requires an individualized quote.
Long-distance pricing may consider:
- Total mileage
- Estimated travel time
- Traffic conditions
- Tolls or parking
- Number of pets
- Required stops
- Pet handling needs
- Overnight travel requirements
- Return travel or caregiver repositioning
Long-distance transportation is subject to caregiver and vehicle availability.

For a flat fee of $35.00 (excluding the cost of supplies), we’ll pick up everything your pet needs — completely hassle-free. This rate applies to stores within a 5-mile radius of your home. Let us handle the errands while you enjoy a simpler, stress-free life!
